August 2026 Calendar

Care Kits for the unsheltered and food  insecure are available for pick up each Sunday in the Narthex.  There is no cost. 

Every Sunday after service there is a  Sunday Social Hour in the Fellowship Hall  It's a good chance to meet with friends, new and old, over coffee and treats after church services. 

On the last Sunday of the month, the Fellowship Committee will be celebrating birthdays for that month with a cake.   Please join us for a celebration of those church friends celebrating birthdays

Every Tuesday at 11:00 A.M Hands of Love meets in the Fellowship Hall.  Be part of the Lutheran World Relief Quilt and Kit Ministry.  Quilts will be sent around the world to those in need

Every Wednesday at 11:00 A.M.  Grief & Loss Support Group will meet on in Pastor Carole’s office. Contact Pastor Carole if you would like to join the group. 

Every Wednesday Bible study at 2 pm in the church library.  Bring a friend!

On the first Saturday of the month   Men’s Bible Study at  Howard’s Coffee Shop in Cypress at 8:30 A.M. Contact Gordon Hild, if you would like to join 

Wednesday, August 5, at 4:00 P.M.  Mount Calvary Reads in Pastor Carole’s office. The current book Theo Of Golden by Allen Levi. 

Saturday August 8 at 10:00 am Women’s Ministry will meet in the Library. 

Monday August 10 at 5:00 P.M Art and Soul Group  will meet in Pastor’s office.  

Wednesday August 12 at 4:30 pm  Council will meet in the library.   

Saturday, August 22 Talent Bazaar and dinner at 6:00 P.M in the Fellowship Hall.  Fellowship will be providing hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring a salad or dessert to round out the meal. Vegetarian options will be offered. 7:00 pm After dinner fantastic entertainment by friends from Mount Calvary. contact Tom Parmeter Dyer to sign up an act; no talent is too bazaar!  He is eager to help put together acts, if needed. Invite your friends and neighbors. 

Wednesday, August 26 Red Cross Blood Drive at Mount Calvary. Please mark it on your calendar and plan to donate blood if you are able to do so.  

Saturday August 29 at 5:00 P.M. Dinner Out at Irrawaddy Taste of Burma.  The restaurant is located at 7076 Katella Ave., Stanton. Everyone is invited to join us for dinner out. 

Sunday, August 30 Celebrating the Joy of Children Service 10 am
