September 2024 Calendar

Care Kits for the unsheltered and food  insecure are available for pick up each Sunday in the Narthex.  There is no cost. 

One Sunday each month a prayer station will be set up during the worship service, 

After service each Sunday there is a  Sunday Social Hour.  It's a good chance to meet with friends, new and old, over coffee and treats after church services. 

After service each Sunday  Bible Study meets at 11:15 A.M. in the library.  

On the last Sunday of the month, the Fellowship Committee will be celebrating birthdays for that month with a cake.   Please join us for a celebration of those church friends celebrating birthdays in September on September 29th. 

Every Wednesdays at 2pm  Weekly Bible study  in Pastor Carole’s office. 

Sunday September 1st Bible Study/Christian Education 4-week class on Christian Nationalism – what it is, and how we as Lutheran Christians should respond.ends. 

Saturday September 7 Men’s Ministry at 8:30 A.M at Howard’s Coffee Shop, 4780 Lincoln Ave. in Cypress   

Saturday, September 7th at 11:00 A.M. Prayer Ministry meeting in Pastor’s office   

Sunday September 8th is God’s Work our Hands  We will have a day of service to our community as a way of living out our calling as Jesus’ disciples 

Saturday September 14 at 10 a.m. the Women’s Ministry will meet at Mt. Calvary in the library. 

Wednesday, September 18th at 5:30 P.M Mount Calvary Reads will meet in Pastor Carole’s office to discuss The Prayer Box by Lisa Wingate. “This masterfully woven tale includes a lush, southern setting, themes of past mistakes, faith and redemption, and a touch of romance.”   Everyone is invited to join at anytime. 

Saturday, September 28th at 5:00 P.M. Dinner Out in September will be at Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que at Long Beach Towne Center.  Plan on coming for good food and lots of fun conversation. 

Sunday  September 29 celebrating with cake September birthdays in the Fellowship Hall after service.
